        1. Many of the skills mentioned above are built through reading out loud. Read a story aloud with your student (or have your student watch a video of a story being read out loud). Then, have your student answer questions about it. Use the 5Ws and how, have them describe the setting, characters, and plot, etc. Encourage your student to use evidence from the text when answering questions.
